Our Year 2/3 classroom has been transformed into a mini art gallery!
This term, the kids have been exploring portraits, starting with a look at how famous artists capture a face. They’ve been “pattern detectives,” identifying different designs and practicing cool new ways to create their own loops, zig-zags, and textures. All that practice really paid off! The children used their sketching skills to draw brilliant self-portraits, finishing them off with super colourful, patterned backgrounds. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they move from simple doodles to detailed masterpieces.
