Flexible Schooling

We are pleased to offer a flexible schooling option for families who are electively home educating but would like their child to benefit from a regular connection with school life.

This arrangement allows children to attend school on a part-time basis while continuing their learning at home, creating a balanced and personalised approach to education.

Flexible schooling can support children’s social development, provide access to school resources, and enable participation in a wider range of learning experiences, while still maintaining the autonomy and individual focus of home education.

Before requesting a meeting with the Principals, the following criteria must be in place:

  • Your child must be registered for elective home education with the local authority.
  • You must be committed to your child attending five half days each week (9.00am-1.20pm).
  • Your must demonstrate a willingness to remain flexible, allowing your child to attend educational visits and whole-school activities, , which may occasionally require full-day attendance.

If you feel this approach would suit your child, we warmly invite you to contact the school office to arrange an appointment with the Principal to discuss this opportunity further.

Flexi schooling has been fantastic for my children. They are able to study the core contents of the national curriculum at school in the mornings and then come home in the afternoons to study the things we would like to prioritise. We can talk to school to change the flexi timetable when needed, they are happy to facilitate wherever possible. We have changed their timetables so they can participate in swimming lessons, P.E and special event days.

Flexi schooling has been the perfect way for my children to transition from home schooling back into the school system in preparation for secondary school. The school has been very accommodating.
