Year 4 Residential Adventure at Gilwell Park

Our Year 4 pupils had an unforgettable residential visit to Gilwell Park Scout Adventure Centre, where they embraced new challenges, developed their independence, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

From making their own beds and taking responsibility for themselves, to facing their fears on the thrilling 3G Swing, every child showed incredible courage and resilience. They tested their skills on the indoor climbing wall, aimed for the perfect bullseye in archery, and worked together through a range of fun team-building activities that had us all laughing out loud.

As the sun set, we gathered around the campfire to sing together, and enjoy the special atmosphere that makes residential trips so memorable. Throughout the visit, pupils learned the importance of listening to one another, supporting their friends, and stepping outside their comfort zones.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all the support staff who gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make this experience possible. Your dedication helped create a fantastic adventure for our children.

Well done, Year 4 – we are so proud of your bravery, teamwork, and positive attitudes!

Unsung Heroes!

Reine, Naima and Taniah – All three generously gave their time to accompany the Y4 children on their two night residential to Gilwell Park.

The children had an amazing experience, creating memories and enjoying opportunities that they will carry with them for years to come. Events like these would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of staff who are willing to go above and beyond.

Thank you to Reine, Naima, and Taniah for making this trip such a success and for helping to create such wonderful memories for the children.

Unauthorised Absences in Term Time

We follow government guidance on term time holidays and we do not authorise pupil holidays during term time. We encourage parents/carers to take their holidays during one of the scheduled holiday breaks.

You can be fined or face legal action for taking your child on holiday during term time.

LATE COLLECTION OF PUPILS

Some pupils are regularly being collected late from the office after school instead of the park. We understand that occasionally parents/carers may unexpectedly be late. However if you regularly arrive late to collect, we will send your child to after school club and you will be expected to pay the £7.50 charge for this club. Thank you for your cooperation.
