What a creative week for our Year 3/4 pupils!
They dove into the world of sculpture, taking inspiration from the acclaimed artist Antony Gormley. Our young artists experimented with creating dynamic, moving poses for their figures. Using wire, tin foil, and Modroc, they constructed incredibly expressive forms. The finished pieces weren’t just left as they were—the pupils showed true artistic flair by painting them to achieve an amazing rusty metal effect! We were so impressed by their confidence! The children could articulate the choices they made about the sculptures’ poses and were able to explain how they changed their minds during the creation process—just like real artists! This demonstrated wonderful resilience and critical thinking.
