Wear yellow for Children's Mental Health Week

We believe happy hearts lead to inspired minds. To mark Children’s Mental Health Week (9th–15th February), we are taking time to focus on the emotional wellbeing of our pupils and the importance of looking after our mental health.

To round off the week and show our support, we are inviting all pupils to come to school wearing something yellow on Friday 13th February. Whether it’s a bright t-shirt, a pair of yellow socks, or a simple hair ribbon, let’s turn our school into a sea of sunshine to raise awareness for this vital cause!

If you are able to, we are suggesting a small donation of £1 per child. All proceeds will go towards supporting mental health initiatives and resources, ensuring our young learners have the tools they need to thrive.

Fantastic Tennis Opportunity for Year 3/4!

Our Year 3/4 class have been incredibly fortunate to take part in four weeks of free tennis coaching during their PE lessons, delivered by professional coaches from LTA Tennis Tower Hamlets.

The pupils loved developing new skills, improving their coordination and teamwork, and—most importantly—having fun while staying active. It has been fantastic to see their confidence grow week by week on the court!

Even better, this opportunity extended beyond the school day. Families were invited to attend free tennis sessions, helping to promote healthy, active lifestyles within our wider school community.

In addition, our flexi-provision pupils benefited from an extra PE session, ensuring even more children could enjoy high-quality physical activity and coaching.

A huge thank you to LTA Tennis Tower Hamlets for their generosity and support. Opportunities like this make a real difference to our pupils’ physical wellbeing and love of sport.

Reminder About Collecting Pupils

Please be reminded that if your child is being collected by somebody other than the parent/carer, you MUST let the admin office know by call or email.

We are not permitted to release a child unless we have received specific consent to do so. Thank you for your co-operation.

Unsung Hero

The unsung heroes this week are the pre-school team for the exceptional care, patience, and consistency they have shown in settling our new pupils. Through thoughtfully embedding routines and providing calm, nurturing support, they have created a safe and welcoming environment where the children feel secure, confident, and ready to learn.

Their teamwork and dedication have made a huge difference to the children’s wellbeing and to the smooth start of the year, often in ways that go unseen but are deeply felt. Thank you.

LATE COLLECTION OF PUPILS

Some pupils are regularly being collected late from the office after school instead of the park. We understand that occasionally parents/carers may unexpectedly be late. However if you regularly arrive late to collect, we will send your child to after school club and you will be expected to pay the £7.50 charge for this club. Thank you for your cooperation.
