Year 6 Basketball Sessions

We’re excited to announce brand new basketball sessions just for Year 6 with coach Rougie and Coach Salman from Young Tower Hamlets.

We also have a new after school Basketball club starting next Wednesday with Team Elite Basketball. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for KS2 pupils to develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy fast-paced, team-focused games in a fun and supportive environment.

Eid Mubarak
Eid Closure

As you may know, the date of EID is determined by the sighting of the new moon. Therefore, the school will be closed in celebration of Eid on EITHER Thursday 19th or Friday 20th March. We will only be able confirm the date of closure for parents/carers on Wednesday 18th March. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

World Book Day

To celebrate we would like all pupils to dress up as their favourite book character and bring in their favourite story book to school to read.

We would like to reinforce that there is no pressure in buying a costume, and we encourage you to be creative and make the costume with your child as these are usually our winning costumes during the parade.

(If you have any extra costumes you would like to donate to the school for pupils who may not have a costume, please can you drop these to the school office by Friday 27th February.)

We will have a costume parade for all pupils to showcase their characters to the rest of the school.

There will be fun reading activities and challenges throughout the day for pupils.

Reminder About Collecting Pupils

Please be reminded that if your child is being collected by somebody other than the parent/carer, you MUST let the admin office know by call or email.

We are not permitted to release a child unless we have received specific consent to do so. Thank you for your co-operation.

The unsung heroes this week are Nazma and Farzana for agreeing to take over the leadership of our Read / Write programme of teaching while Sancia is on maternity leave.  Thank you both for leading this very important area of the curriculum.

LATE COLLECTION OF PUPILS

Some pupils are regularly being collected late from the office after school instead of the park. We understand that occasionally parents/carers may unexpectedly be late.
