Temporary drop off arrangements

Due to our local funfair visiting, we have had to make temporary arrangements to the morning drop off. Please see marked on the map below details of where classes should line up. Extra care should be taken crossing the cycle paths. All pupils that visit the park at lunchtime will be visiting Shandy Park.

We hope to resume to the usual arrangements on Monday 15th June 2015.

Red Pepper Boats…

Year 3/4 pupils are learning where food comes from.  Last week, we discussed where our specific ingredients came from and how they are grown.  The pupils had great fun tearing open their peppers and removing the seeds.  They then, in groups, took turns to carefully slice the tomatoes. A dash of oil and some pine nuts later, they added in the pungent basil leaves and gave everything a good mix.

After filling their pepper boats and crumbling some rather messy soft goats’ cheese on top, they baked them in the oven for about 25 minutes.Taking turns to clean, wipe, wash and dry up the pupils made a fantastic team of chefs!  I think you will agree these look rather delicious!

Jungle Fever takes over Reception pupils!

On Friday 1st May 2015, Reception pupils held a performance of The Jungle Book which was absolutely superb! We would like to congratulate everyone for a fantastic, successful production. We could not have made it happen without the support of everyone at home practicing lines and songs with families as well as an amazing Reception staff team behind the scenes.

Well done and thank you to all pupils, staff and parents/carers for making The Jungle Book such a huge success!

Parent/carer tea/coffee morning!

Friday 17th April 9.15am

Please come along for tea/coffee, biscuits and maybe even a cake or two, from 9.15am for an hour or so.

Please come along for tea/coffee, biscuits and maybe even a cake or two, from 9.15am for an hour or so.

After a great first tea/coffee morning last term, we have set up a Parent/Carer Forum, an organising body to facilitate and encourage parents/carers to get creatively involved with the school. Whatever skills/time you have to offer, from running an art workshop to simply baking a cake at the Summer Fair this term, we would love you to get involved.

Come and discuss more ideas over a cup of tea/coffee on Friday 17th April.
